     In the scene, Mike used WaveFilter Shader's Ghost channel to add never before available effects. Click on  the avi to get the whole picture.

SMOKE & FIRE BALL - WaveFilter Shader
     Mike used a combination of Color and Vanish chanels and filters in conjuction with texture controls to create billowing  balls of smoke and fire. Both are comprised of one, four point polygon.

 WaveFilter Image Matte Filters
     This test scene used footage captured with
a shoulder held video camera held sideways to capture as much image data as possible. Using
the Range Alpha feature in WaveFilter Image, a matching sequence of clipmap images was created. Both the original sequence and the WaveFilter generated clipmap sequence were mapped
to a single polygon in Layout. This created the appearence of the actress, as a LightWave object, walking inside the scene.

GALLEON OF FOG - WaveFilter Shader
     Mike wanted to show an object passing through a cloud volume. This was achieved using WaveFilter Shader Transparency channel on a group of 50 single polygon disks that were animated by hand for this scene.
