Installing from the WaveFilter CD:
1. Insert the WaveFilter CD into your compact disc drive. 2. It is recommended you exit any Windows applications prior to running the WaveFilter 2.0 Setup. 3. You must exit LightWave 3D if running 4. Run the WaveFilter 2.0 Setup and follow the instructions provided. 5. The WaveFilter 2.0 Setup program will create the proper directories and copy the required plug-in files to NewTek/Plugins/Layout/WaveFilter/Intel or Alpha 6. Run LightWave 3D. 7. You will need to manually add the four WaveFilter Image plug-ins named, WFImage-1.p, WFImage-2.p, WFImage-3.p, and WFImage-4.p to LightWave 3D by selecting the Add Plug-ins button in the options panel, general options tab. 8. Now quit LightWave 3D to save the added plug-ins to the LightWave configuration file. 9. You are now ready to load the WaveFilter Image Plug-ins as Image Filter Plug-ins. In the Effects Panel, Image Processing tab, select the Image Filter Plug-ins button and scroll down to select WaveFilter Image-1. Installing the Download:
1. Download the desired WaveFilter .exe. All downloads are installed as demos, once registered they will be fully functional. For more information, see downloads. 2. It is recommended you exit any Windows applications prior to running the WaveFilter 2.0 Setup. 3. You must exit LightWave 3D if running. 4. Double click the WaveFilter .exe and designate the directory where you would like to unpack the WaveFilter Plug-in files. The directory does not have to be the NewTek directory. 5. Run the WaveFilter 2.0 Setup and follow the instructions provided. 6. The WaveFilter 2.0 Setup program will create the proper directories and copy the required plug-in files to NewTek/Plugins/Layout/WaveFilter/Intel or Alpha 7. Run LightWave 3D. 8. You will need to manually add the four WaveFilter Image plug-ins named, WFImage-1.p, WFImage-2.p, WFImage-3.p, and WFImage-4.p to LightWave 3D by selecting the Add Plug-ins button in the options panel, general options tab. 9. Now quit LightWave 3D to save the added plug-ins to the LightWave configuration file. 10. You are now ready to load the WaveFilter Image Plug-ins as Image Filter Plug-ins. In the Effects Panel, Image Processing tab, select the Image Filter Plug-ins button and scroll down to select WaveFilter Image-1. There are actually four WaveFilter Image plug-ins, which can be used in any combination to add additional "layers" of image processing. All four offer the same set of features but operate independently of one another. For example, you might use the first pass to Edge Blend the full frame and the second pass might Blur just the background. Load as many or as few WaveFilter Image passes as needed. You are now ready to start applying WaveFilter Image filters to your scenes. |
