THE PREVIEW WINDOW

     The color  preview window provides 3D artists with the ability to see your WaveFilter Image settings prior to completing the render. The available preview selection descriptions are:

PREVIEWED IMAGE

WaveFilter Image - previews current WaveFilter settings.
Original Image - previews unaffected image
Alpha Channel - previews the alpha channel
Special Buffers - previews special buffer selections
Shadow Buffers - previews the shadow buffer

     When selecting an image to be previewed, click the
drop down menu and either select the image you would
like to preview or arrow between the WaveFilter Image
and Original Image to view the frame with or without the applied settings.
 NOTE: (The Blur Image Filter does not display in the
               preview window.)

PREVIEW OPTIONS

UPDATE - Press Update to preview the latest settings. Most settings automatically update when
Enter is pressed.

POST RENDER ADJUST - When selected, the Post Render Adjust button allows the WaveFilter Image interface to appear just after the completion of each frames rendering and prior to the rendering being displayed. After applying your settings, deselect the Post Render Adjust button to allow

ZOOM 1:1 - Left mouse click inside the preview window

ZOOM 4x - Shift + Left mouse click inside the preview window

WaveFilter to process the remaining frames of an animation with the selected settings without the WaveFilter Image interface popping up.  A “30 minute Post Timeout” preferences can be selected to automatically override the Post Render Adjust selection in 30 minutes, allowing the animation to continue rendering frames with the selected settings. See Post- and Pre- Rendering Adjust.

1:1 ZOOM  - Left mouse click within the preview window to enlarge the preview window to a 1:1 zoom.

4x ZOOM  - Hold down the Shift key and left click within the preview window to enlarge the preview window to a 4x Zoom. The 4x Tracking Window will disappear and the entire preview window will enlarge to 4x Zoom.  Selecting colors for a High/Low Color Range is not possible in 4x Zoom.

4x CURSOR TRACKING WINDOW - When in either Full Frame view or 1:1 Zoom view, a 4x Tracking Window will be displayed in the bottom, right corner of the preview window. The 4x Tracking Window always displays the WaveFilter effect no matter what preview mode you are in.  The 4x Tracking Window can be turned off in Preferences.

PANNING - Hold down the Control key and the left mouse button to pan the preview window when in 1:1
or 4x Zoom. Hold down the Control, Shift and left
mouse button to pan 4x the amount.
